Watch and Record Television Utilizing the latest in digital technologies, you can record your favorite programs without the hassle of cassette tapes. No more looking for tapes or wondering if you'll record over something else. When you are ready to view your recorded media, simply select the recorded file and watch without having to scan through hours of tape or stacks of cassettes. With Internet access, you'll be able to utilize the on-screen program guide that will tell you when your shows will be on and allow you to schedule to record them with a click of a button. Watch DVDs Beyond just television, you'll be able to watch a wide variety of media including DVD movies. Just place the movie into the console as you would any other DVD player. Pair the console with a Dolby® Digital receiver and enjoy the high quality of 5.1 digital audio. Listen to Music The console will play CDs and MP3s. You'll also be able to access the additional information provided on many CDs, such as music videos. The music will play directly through your TV or through a receiver. The desktop is specifically configured to work well viewing it across the room on a television. However, since it is such a widely used software environment, you have the ability to configure it for your preferences and add software that makes your tasks more easily controlled.
Unlike many devices you buy today, you'll be able to customize and add software capabilities as they become available.
